History: Time was hit by a car in Zugdidi city center in the summer of 2023. A local animal lover cared for him on the street for around a month, but his situation was not improving. He couldn’t hold his right leg properly, and he had open wounds that got infected. To save his life, we took him under our responsibility, and a big journey began.
Time was fostered in Tbilisi with our team member and underwent many months of treatment. It appeared he couldn’t hold his pee and poo. He was also suffering from several parasitic diseases, such as babesiosis and ehrlichiosis. Thanks to our friend organization, he was fostered in a dog shelter for a few months before he could be operated on. Finally, in May 2024, surgery was performed, and Time is now a three-legged dog. He walks and runs more freely now, with less discomfort. Over time, his bladder problem has become less and less visible.
Time is a dog who overcame all odds and survived a hellish life on the street. Even though some vets recommended euthanizing him, we gave him a chance to live. He is happy, not in pain, and enjoys walking, running, and playing. We will continue to support him for the rest of his life, but we also have great hope that someone as passionate as us will adopt him. He is currently in paid foster care.
Personality: He is an energetic boy, always up for a run and play. He is happy being outside most of the day. For him, the ideal family would have a yard and the dedication to care for handicapped dogs. He loves humans but can sometimes be anxious or jealous around other large dogs.
Good with cats and kids? He is good with kids and not tested on cat.
