Adopt a rescue
We rescue stray dogs and cats that desperately need medical attention. We treat, deworm, chip, vaccinate, spay/neuter, and put them in foster homes until we find a permanent family.
It is getting harder and harder to put rescues up for adoption in Georgia. So, we look for families abroad.
However, sending animals abroad takes time and money:
- The animal needs to be vaccinated and microchipped;
- After a month from rabies vaccination, blood samples are sent to Germany to verify antibodies;
- The animal goes through a mandatory three-month quarantine period (calculated from the date of testing) which they spend in paid foster care;
- Before departure, the Ministry of Agriculture issues a health certificate.
If you’d like to adopt one of our rescues, fill in the form below. We will get back to you once we find a good match, and we’ll invite you to an online interview and a virtual house check. Let us know if you have any questions at zerostraysgeorgia@gmail.com.
